Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research & Insights (R&I) Expert to join our dynamic team. The R&I Expert will play a pivotal role in supporting our consulting projects by delivering high-quality research and actionable insights. This role will involve working closely with consultants and clients to understand their needs, gather and analyze relevant data, and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data from various internal and external sources to support strategic decision-making. This includes market research, competitive analysis, consumer insights, and trend analysis.
  • Research and Insights Development: Conduct in-depth research to provide insights into market dynamics, consumer behavior, and industry trends within the Home Electronics, Health & Beauty, Finance, and FMCG sectors.
  • Conduct Academic Research: Engage in academic research to explore new methodologies and theoretical frameworks that can enhance our consulting practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest academic developments and integrate these insights into practical business solutions.
  • Product Building: Collaborate with product development teams to integrate research insights into the development of new products and services. Provide input on product features, design, and market positioning based on data-driven insights.
  • Strategy Support: Collaborate with consulting teams to develop business, marketing, brand, data, and digital commerce strategies. Provide insights and data to support the development and implementation of these strategies.
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge repository, ensuring that relevant research and insights are easily accessible to the consulting team.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide customized research solutions. Present findings and insights to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Tools and Technologies: Utilize advanced analytics tools and technologies to derive insights from large datasets. Stay current with emerging tools and methodologies to enhance the quality of research outputs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments within PMAX to ensure alignment and integration of research insights into broader business strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of turning data into actionable insights. Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a research or strategy development role, preferably within a consulting firm, market research agency, or in a relevant industry (Home Electronics, Health & Beauty, Finance, FMCG). Familiar with report structure, managing report/ research outcomes from research agencies.
  • Technical Skills
    • Data Analysis and Visualization: Proficiency in using tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and visualization.
    • Statistical Analysis: Strong skills in statistical methods and tools to analyze and interpret data accurately.
    • Research Methodologies: Ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative research, including academic research techniques.
  • Industry Expertise: Knowledge or experience in one or more of the focus sectors (Home Electronics, Health & Beauty, Finance, FMCG) is highly desirable. Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within these industries.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex data and insights in a clear and engaging manner to both internal teams and clients.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate and high-quality work.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, methodologies, and industry trends.
